About: Joyous Chorus is a secular choir for femme-identifying folx in Hawaiʻi. We sing weekly in mānoa. We sing 9 months a year,  February - June and August - December

  • Dues:

    $25 weekly

    $400 per season (Spring, Fall)

    $750 Annually

    To foster community and grow our small but mighty choir, membership dues are not required until 2026*.

    *Dues are optional for those with demonstrated need. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Meet our choir director

bringing nearly two decades of choral artistry, music education, and community leadership to Joyous Chorus. Based in Honolulu, she has dedicated her career to helping singers of all ages discover their voices and the joy of making music together.

Rebecca earned her degree in Choral Music Education and has taught middle and high school choirs, guiding ensembles of all sizes, including select touring groups that have performed internationally. She is passionate about creating welcoming spaces where singers can connect, heal, and express themselves through song.

When she’s not conducting, Rebecca enjoys biking to work, hiking, exploring the beautiful beaches, and spending time with her five children and five grandchildren.
